Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency in the United States. With women consuming anywhere from 5-9 pounds of lipstick within their lifetime, why not put the iron they’re lacking in a product they’re already consuming?
We’ve all been there – at work I mean – slaving away on some presentation and ordering junk food or some other dodgy dish that tastes just awful. But not everyone is like that. Some people just simply won’t compromise.
So in order to promote ‘Achla Beetroot Salad’ as a great upgrade to the boring everyday office salad, Strauss Group created an ad glorifying the people who don’t compromise on junk food and eating in front of their computer screen. The Salad Choppin Guy who proudly takes the time to chop a fresh salad at work – come hell or high water.

Preganews Pregnancy Detection Card, manufactured and marketed by Mankind Pharmaceuticals is the leading brand in its category. For years, it has been bringing ‘good news’ to the mom-to-be.
To take the relationship with its user further, Preganews has just launched a new campaign #QuitBeforeYouStart specifically targeted at couples planning a family. The toll of young smokers in India and the world over is increasing swiftly. Usually women stop smoking before they start planning a baby. But in the case of men, it is very rare that they quit. Through the study done by National Health Society, United Kingdom, it is observed that men who continue smoking while planning a family, run the risk of damaging the DNA of the fetus permanently. Highlighting this issue Prega News urges the ‘would be fathers’ to quit smoking before they start planning a family.
#QuitBeforeYouStart is an urge from Preganews to the fathers to quit smoking for a healthy child. Commenting on the campaign, Mr. Rajeev Juneja, CEO, Mankind Pharma said that “Prega News is already the leading brand in the category. It is now the responsibility of the brand to take up relevant issues concerning pregnancy. For a healthy child it is the responsibility of both the mother and father to quit smoking. This takes our corporate philosophy of serving lives further”.
The campaign has been conceptualized and executed by ADK Fortune, a WPP agency. Akashneel Dasgupta, NCD, ADK Fortune adds “Planning a family is a huge decision taken by the couple. People are aware about the side-effects of mother’s smoking at the time of pregnancy. But when it comes to men there is a lack of awareness that even the father’s habit of smoking can harm the fetus. With this campaign we would like to break this misconception and highlight the fact that it is equally important for both the partners to quit smoking. If the father is smoking at the time of conceiving, it might damage the DNA of the child, leading to disability for the rest of the child’s life. Through our campaign #QuitBeforeYouStart we make a humble request to quit smoking before it is too late”.
The campaign is timed around Father’s Day and World No Tobacco Day, which would be supported with other communication stimuli apart from the film. More about the campaign can be obtained from the Prega News website and Facebook page.
Resisting the trend of saccharine parental sentimentality towards children in China, the work heroes junior sporting stars who make it clear they don’t want to be babied. A series of films feature a real-life runner, boxer, footballer and basketballer, aged 10 -13 years, embracing the challenges of their sport alone and bluntly telling adults to let them play by their own rules. A final film brings the four together in an anthem of independence.
“When it comes to sports, children have the grit, determination and fearlessness of adults. They aren’t constrained by their age, but they’re sometimes constrained by parents’ fears of them falling or failing,” said Steve Tsoi, VP Marketing of Nike Greater China. “We wanted to help overcome this overprotectiveness by reframing ‘young athletes’ as athletes who happen to be young.”
The films appear online and across DOOH sites, and are brought to life with a meme generator allowing users to create their own poster and inspirational quip. A series of activities were also created to support the campaign over the summer, including the Nike Children’s Run, Football Training Camp and Rise Academy, pitch and court takeovers as well as a dedicated Don’t Call Me Precious event at Beijing Dongdan Sports Park.
Terence Leong, Executive Creative Director, R/GA Shanghai said the campaign was designed to empower kids by highlighting the egalitarianism of sport, and the strength and self-sufficiency it helps children to develop.
“Sports doesn’t care how old you are. It’s going to be just tough on you whether you’re 13 or 30, and just as rewarding.” (more…)
Sharing. One would imagine that in today’s world, with our private lives made social and innermost feelings expressed in 140 characters, short-lived stories, status updates or snappy posts, we are doing enough of it. Actually not.
Because true sharing, like most other things in life, is about the quality of it. When was the last time we had a conversation with a stranger that gave us something to think about? Do we actually take the trouble to look away from our constantly buzzing phones to share an honest part of ourselves with someone? Do we shut the world out and listen to stories over a campfire or reach out in a meaningful way to our fellow humans?
Black & White, the brand that takes the inspiring message of spontaneous Gettogethers to the millennials, invites the young experience seekers of today to reach out and share. That conversation on a park bench, the chat while on holiday, breaking the ice in an elevator…so many people and so many connections go into making the person you are. And when you open yourself up to sharing, your life is the richer for it.
The new commercial sets the context for this idea in a new and meaningful way. While the visuals, shot evocatively in black and white, capture the imagination with connections with strangers made while running on a beach, at the theatre or a club, while camping or at a carnival, the voice over takes a leap in establishing a possible relationship with the protagonist.
Directed by the acclaimed Jamie Muir, who is a millennial himself, and produced by Firecracker films, the film was shot across varied landscapes in Portugal, with a talented team of actors and crew.
Commenting on the new campaign, Abhishek Shahabadi, Portfolio Head for the premium and luxury category said: “The commercial was created with the aim of spreading the message that personal satisfaction comes from sharing the good things in life, with people around us. The storyboard motivates people to step out and share a bit of themselves, urging them not to hold back, thereby enriching their lives.”
Conceptualized and written by Priya Shivakumar, Senior Vice President & Executive Creative Director, JWT Bangalore said;
“What if we saw a stranger as a connection waiting to be made, or as a role they could play in our life? Would we then, be more open to reaching out and sharing? In a world of superficial connections and transactional relationships, we wanted this message to go beyond the medium and make a difference to people’s lives. So that next time you’re alone at a table in a café or waiting for that delayed flight to take off, you look up from your phone, look around and find a meaningful connection that could enrich your life in ways you cannot imagine. That could be the stuff of riveting stories or memories held dear.”.

Just a single shell provides around two grams of calcium.

Sometimes you’ve just got to get the most obnoxious guy on the kibbutz to do your bidding for you. So that’s what Yovata did when it decided to launch its new protein rich drink.
Yotvata is one of Israel’s most loved dairy brands. Located in kibbutz Yotvata, smack in the middle of the rain-deprived and grass-poor Arava desert, it creates against all odds some of the country’s finest dairy products.
Behind this entrepreneurial brand are a bunch of colorful kibbutznikim – dreamers, eccentrics, poets and yes – even fitness fanatics who work hard every day to make this most unlikely of ventures a reality and a success.
So when Yotvata dairy decided this year to promote its protein rich dairy “Yotvata Pro” drink they turned to the kibbutz’s sixpack guy. The guy who no matter where he is or what he’s doing can’t resist the urge to take off his shirt and flaunt his absolutely perrrfect body. A perfect set of abs which are bound to make any guy cringe and any girl go weak at the knees. A set of abs nourished and polished by Yotvata’s very own “Yotvata Pro” protein drinks.

From Tanvi Tandon: With Christmas around the corner, I have a wonderfully relevant ad design project that I thought you might want to cover.
People with red-green colorblindness hate Christmas. The festive red-green look dull to them and are hard to distinguish.
We changed the colours of Christmas to make it more vivid for the Colorblind! On our website, you’ll find some cute and fun illustrated Christmas cards with themes they can relate to.
Rames Harikrishnasamy is a Digital Artist born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Why are you an Illustrator/Digital Artist?
It’s all because of my passion towards it. I’ve always love design back in school but wasn’t giving so much of attention to it until I realised it much later.
Did you attend school for fine art or design?
No, I did not. I graduated in BSc. (HONS) in Applied Business Computing. Whatever knowledge I know about Photoshop and other designing tools were self taught.
You have a distinct style of illustration. How long did it take you to develop your style?
It started of when I use Photoshop to transform myself to superheroes such as Superman, Ironman, Green Lantern etc. I’ve spent more than 2 years just doing this and then realised that I need to do something new as a signature artwork. That’s when I found out about photo manipulation and start venturing towards it.
