Priyanka Kapoor is an graphic designer and illustrator based in Mumbai.
With love for designing small little things around her and peace that she founds while drawing and sketching, she landed into the world of designing and illustrations.

An ambivert who loves to meet new people yet enjoys her own company. Fashion, food and music adds the right amount of happiness in her life.

Why are you an Illustrator?
I am an illustrator because I love to beautify things around me. A blank paper,canvas,wall, books or anything.I believe if a great idea and right amount of creativity is been put, then even the most common and ordinary thing can become most appealing and beautiful. That is what I try to achieve.

Did you attend school for fine art or design?
No. I did a short diploma graphic design to know the basics of different software.

You have a distinct style of illustration. How long did it take you to develop your style?
My love for motifs and Indian art started long ago and its been almost six months that I am trying to develop my own style.

Sarang Bijagare : Illustrations

Coming from a small city of Yavatmal, Sarang Bijagare took to Polytechnic instead of Art College. He graduated as a Civil Engineer, and worked for a while before diving into the world of Art. He admitted himself to Abhinav Art College in Pune, and started his exciting journey in Art.

Why are you an Illustrator?
Because drawing is my first love.

Did you attend school for fine art or design?
Yes, I did my G.D.Art (Applied Arts) from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune.

You have a distinct style of illustration. How long did it take you to develop your style?
I basically focus on realistic drawings & try to simplify them with different forms & styles.
I can adapt any style of illustration, because we all know how advertising illustration is.
Creative directors are always looking for something new.

Shailesh Khandeparkar, Illustrations

Shailesh Khandeparkar is a Graduate from ‘The Goa School of Art’, working as  a Freelance Illustrator and Designer, based in Mumbai. At present he is working with Karigari Design inc. He had the fortune of being one of the emminent panel of juries for the prestigious D&AD awards 2011. He prefers working on  what he calls Indian-Urban genre of design. It is a mix of classical Indian styles of design with modern techniques. He likes the starkness of black and white and colour acrylic style. Shailesh’s work has been featured in all international design magazines, and all the projects are mostly done completely by himself, like the art direction, execution etc.

His work for WWF was selected as ‘In-book’ at D&AD 3 years in a row and also been nominated for the Yellow Pencil He has won a Gold Pencil in One Show Design, Bronze at the Clio Awards, and silver in Cannes, London International and other several nomination in major awards. Someof his work & articles was published in The Work Book, WPP Cream Book, IDN, Communication Art, Computer Art and Indexbook.

Why are you an Illustrator?
This is an odd question. Actually, I don’t think I am perfect for the role of illustrator, because i cannot replicate the given refrence style (as it’s so called in advertising).  I am a bit of illustrator + designer + art director.
