Fruitbowl Digital is a full service Interactive media agency, a tight-knit team of creators, doers, organizers and overall talented souls. Their specialization starts from conceptualization to creating & designing the media for executing digital campaigns on social media, search and innovative platforms to increase the brand reach. They strongly believe in building long lasting brand impressions.

What made you start Fruit Bowl Digital?
When we were just out in the real world, we observed the market and came across a gap in Central India. As we were really interested in advertising and had a lot of ideas on our mind, we decided to start Fruitbowl.

Tell us about your designers/animators. Did they go into fine art or design schools? Or software? How do you pick them up?
We strongly believe in choosing talent over education. Education does not matter as much as the kind of work an individual can do.

How would you define the design style at Fruit Bowl Digital?
We believe in creating designs that inspire. A touch of innovation in every design helps Fruitbowl stand apart from the rest. A good design not just amplifies a brand, but gives it a personality of its own.

What does Fruit Bowl Digital do which sets it apart from other digital agencies?
The Fruitbowl family finds itself lucky enough to create something beautiful almost every other day. We love our work and are sure everyone else will too! We don’t believe in any “CONCEPT” as such. We just know how to make things work and we believe that as long as we can do that, there is no looking back.

Were there any particular role models for you when you grew up?
Steve Jobs.

Who was the most influential personality on your career in Brand Building?
Faisal Amin.

How important is the focus on good design in Fruit Bowl Digital?
We strongly believe in ‘Survival of the freshest’ and freshest design is what has kept us going on the edge.

Do you function like a traditional advertising agency? Or would you call yourself more of a graphic design/branding/social media agency?
Our motto is “La sopravienza dei piu freschi” .. Confused? Don’t worry; we’re just pulling your legs. That just means Survival of the Freshest!

What do you feel about the state of design in Brand Building in India?
We feel that the state of design in Brand Building is evolving constantly and is very much confusing. It needs better direction.

Is Digital Marketing only limited to Social (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc)? What else is there? Can you illustrate with an example?
We also offer Web Development, ORM, Search Marketing, App Development, Email CRM and Brand Communication. We have done web development for V.G Mittal (builder group). Also, Reliance Energy has used our services of Search Marketing and Vadilal has been using all our services till present date.

Any other Indian ‘Digital Agencies’ you admire?
Not indian, but Blitz does some interesting work.

Can you share a successful case study of one of your campaigns?
‘Majhi Metro’ was one of the most successful campaigns that we ran for the Reliance Metro in Mumbai. The objective of Majhi Metro Festival was to create a sense of ownership amongst our commuters. We had created an Insta-Meet Campaign, which had become the 2nd largest campaign in India where almost 450-500 gathered on a metro station because of this campaign.

Social media is often used for traffic/traction etc. Do you have any examples where its used for brand building?
Vadilal is one of the brands that has been with us since the beginning. It is already a recognised brand but digital presence is important as the world is going digital in this new age.

What is your dream project?
His dream project is working towards a start-up that is into unorganised retail. He feels that it is going to be the biggest thing that will happen to India. we will let us know as soon as possible.

What advice do you have for aspiring creative professionals? Would you advise them to take on Digital Agency as a career option? Or Advertising and brand building?
Our greatest advice to creative aspirants would be to “Be yourself, but don’t create a new wheel all over again.” We think that it is always better to be better than the best and sustain it.

Pornhub, Netflix, Mashable, Gmail and Calculator.

Of course a Mac.

Who would you like to take out for dinner?
My wife, duh! I wouldn’t want to get kicked out of home.
