Concept Note:Extensive research across the last decade amongst travelers to Kerala (more international than domestic) has consistently revealed that “something” happens to them while they are here – something that alters their mindspace.

The triggers for this “something” often include the relaxed “pace” of the destination, the,
‘openness’ and warmth of Kerala and its people, or even the distinctive ‘rawness’ of the land.

The crux of the matter is that everyone seems to remember this trigger. Many are acutely aware of this epiphany, this sudden intuitive leap of understanding, caused by a seemingly ordinary, but striking occurrence.

The campaign is all about this trigger – this moment. In a manner of speaking, the campaign tries to capture the mindspace, with every frame so rooted in reality, that it more than verges on the unreal.

Swipe more. Get more.

Challenge: Promote Landmark’s Lifestyle Inner Circle Card, a membership card wherein every time you make purchases and swipe your card, you gain points, allowing you to win other products in the store.

Execution: Bags, furniture, shoes etc. were lazer-cut into the posters, literally giving the impression that the more you swipe the card, the more you stand to win. The actual Inner Circle card was then placed in the grooves, so that customers could even interact with the communication.

Result: The “Swipe more. Get more” communication stood apart from hundreds of other promo posters in the store and conversion of customers into the loyalty program increased twofold during the promotion period.

Karnataka Tourism by Stark Communications

What if all the animals in the world came together to protest against us humans? What if they formed a group and demanded that we listen to them? Wild Parties was launched on World Environment Day, as an attempt to spread the word about Conservation, Wildlife protection and Responsibility. Targeted at the youth glued to Social Media in specific and Internet in general (which explains the slightly misleading name), Wild Parties were a group of Wild animals facing the threat of extinction due to human action.

www.wildparties.com wanted people to know real issues and act, or – at the least – be aware. Through Facebook, the Group registered over a hundred members in just 2 weeks, with close to 20,000 hits for the website pages. Posters were then designed to get more people to join Wild Parties and talk about it to others.

Initiated by Karnataka Tourism as a platform for awareness and change, Wild Parties brought to light the many issues faced by endangered species that inhabit our planet. Since they don’t have a voice, we thought we should lend them ours.

New Ark Mission of India : Ogilvy Bangalore

It’s the winter months that takes its most violent toll on India’s poor. After long hot summers, the poor are really not ready for the extreme cold that follows. On top of this, street children and beggars are a blind spot we rarely acknowledge. So what we did was dress up street kids in their usual everyday clothes (made from discarded newspapers, sacking, cardboard) and photographed them walking the ramp. This juxtaposition of the usual in an unusual setting, startled and woke people up. The campaign was executed as a series of posters, standees and eDMs in Corporate offices and Churches. The client was hoping for about 3500 sets of clothes. However, they were overwhelmed when they received over 6000 sets of clothes as well as significant monetary contributions.

Rishidev : DesiCreative from Bengaluru

A small town boy from Kannur in Kerala. Now in Bangalore, doing what he always loved doing; as senior illustrator at Happy Creative Services.

Why are you an Illustrator?
Have been doodling in my notebooks ever since I can remember. And when I realized I can get paid for the same, gladly chose that career. It gives you a lot of freedom to create and experiment.

Did you attend school for fine art or design?
Yes I did. Got BFA in sculpture from Fine Arts College, Trivandrum.
