Linc Pens : Pooja Moments by MonkeyWrench, Kolkata

Durga Puja – the October Fest of Eastern India, is not only the biggest festival, but something Bengalis plan their year around. And a pen plays an indispensable part in it. Be it assigning Bhog coupons, making the list of shopping essentials for rituals, or doing the rounds for donations – one just can’t do without a pen. Celebrating this and so much more, here is a campaign showing the festive madness through fun doodles that illustrate the role of a pen in major Puja moments.

Polar Electric by Monkey Wrench, Kolkata

Polar Electric is a 4-decade-old electronics brand that has been diversifying its range of home appliances with special emphasis on fans all across India. Powering ease and convenience, the brand takes a step further to instill a new wave of awareness in the air with its digital film.

Headline: Polar Electric brings social message forward – iss Holi, bura na bano!

While the popular act of celebrating with colours is cherished among friends and families, often this very act of smearing colours is extended to pets and stray animals as an act of teasing. Our four-legged friends are seen frantically harassed and afraid on this day. Adverse effects like blindness, skin allergies and respiratory disorders work no less than poison for them.
To impart the message of excluding pets and animals from Holi, Polar Electric decided to bring awareness in the air distinctly. The narrative gently communicates an important social message to children & young adults about respecting every being’s safety & not channelling our idea of a Holi celebration on to our furry friends.

No Lockdown For Education : MonkeyWrench, Kolkata

The crisis of Covid-19 has brought the world to a standstill. The hustle and bustle of our lives and the clockwork of the giant corporate world and various consumer industries have come to a grave pause. While we are safe indoors, our bankers, scientists, policemen and scientists have been fighting at the frontline to keep us safe. And to prepare the future for an even stronger fight, our teachers have been quietly sitting indoors and teaching online every single day to mould the future set of bankers, scientists, policemen and change-makers. From the blackboard to the laptop, from picking up chalk to picking up video classes – the world may be under a lockdown but the mind is free – and our teachers globally have been imparting knowledge with courage through every technological way possible. We salute our frontline warriors in the education sector for continuing to fuel hope and shape a stronger world.

Fashion For A Cause : The Telegraph by Monkey Wrench, Kolkata

To escape the hustle & bustle of city life and deadlines, the urban youth often finds a way to nature. Hiring a property at a farmhouse or a quiet lake is more pleasing than flying to another city for a break. The return to nature – to our roots – creates a sense of belonging and safety. Nature is believed to restore our health, peace, mind & body clock. Which is why we are more and more attracted to move backwards and slow the pace of life.

The urban youth today is driven to stick to organic food, holiday amongst nature, be more closely rooted to family, appreciate the strength of joint families, value bonding, adopt more spiritual practices like yoga, meditation, vipasanna, etc to nurture positive living. So, since the mood & awakening of the urban youth is driven towards positivity, how about making fashion a positive cause? Why don’t we wear fashion to support a positive change?

Let’s wear fashion to connect, to refresh, to blossom.
Let’s wear fashion to spread positivity.

Experiential Work for Nordusk LED by MonkeyWrench, Kolkata

Advertised Brand: Nordusk LED
Synopsis: Durga Puja is a major festival of Bengal, India, celebrating the homecoming of Goddess Durga who is known to be the embodiment of light. The festival signifies the victory of light over darkness. Brand Nordusk, a LED Light Company decided to literally depict this very essence by bringing light to the dark this year.

While we are busy with the revelries of Durga Puja and the fanfare associated with the festival, the makers of the idols of Goddess Durga struggle for months – in the dark – to bring us the light of happiness that only appears as clay and hay to the commoners.
Through a CSR activity, Nordusk installed functional LED lights in many such workshops where these idol-makers continued to carve the perfect shape of Maa Durga. Thus, Nordusk literally brought these gifted artisans out of a low productivity environment/darkness and empowered them with a better environment that is well-lit and bright, thus aiding them to minimise the health hazards otherwise associated with CFL bulbs and kerosene lamps that these artisans use in their workshops.
