Why are you a Graphic Designer?
The Paramount purpose of a communication system is to deliver a meaningful message. Graphic design plays a powerful role in visual communication. Since my childhood, I have always felt an inclination towards observing things, looking at them hours and hours, maybe trying to have words with them. I feel they have their own words no matter they would be animated or non-animated. I’ve always searched for a medium to establish my observations and convey those obscured messages out of them which might add value to mankind. I feel, design especially graphic design and illustration give me the freedom and comfort to ventilate my pent up emotion, those imaginary messages and shape them the way I want. And an unavoidable passion for graphics has always driven me to stick to it and explore more.

It has always been fascinating to see how each brush stroke changes a painting completely. Design became more fascinating than painting, because now I could ‘paint’ with more than just a brush.

Graphic Design is more of an emotional and personal process rather than functional and that’s what I love about it. It’s a visual communication tool that expresses a thought or an idea by taking into consideration the sensitivity of people and the society.

Did you attend school for fine art or design?
Yes, I completed my graduation in Graphic Design from MIT Institute of Design, Pune. It’s where I built my foundation and explored my own design identity.

Why are you an Illustrator?
With a penchant for colour, texture, pattern and text and image, I illustrate with the intention of using visuals to tell a story that looks at particular theme through a different lens.
