JWT and O&M are the two Indian advertising agencies that have won statues at the London International Awards this year.
JWT has won two statues in all from its seven finalists. The well-known Levi’s ‘Slim Jeans’ campaign has won JWT an award again, in the Print category. Another statue has been scored for Apollo Tyres, for the entry ‘Tubeless Tyres –Note’, in the Single Print category.
O&M ended up winning one statue this year. Its work on the IAPA titled ‘Adoption’ in the Public Service category is the only one to fetch the agency a statue from its overall twenty finalists.
Among the other Indian agencies, Grey Worldwide India, Percept/H and Rediffusion DY&R had their entries reaching the finals. While Grey had three entries, Precept/H had two, and Rediffusion had one entry among the finalist.
Till the time of filling this story, there was no confirmation as such on whether these finalists have converted into wins. The results are still in the process of disclosure and there is a possibility of the remaining entrants from India winning statues as well.
