Young Creatives and Student Competition

For 20 years, LIA has honoured the world's most creative individuals and institutions through the world's best judged competitions. In February 2006, LIA launched the addition of the Young Creatives and Student Competition to nurture and reward young talent. In turn, the Young Creatives and Students will be asked to create a unique advertisement or website which should entice their own generation to take part in global political, social and economic issues.
Recent polls and studies indicate that young people do not fully appreciate how public policy impacts their lives on a daily basis and have never been known to vote or become involved in overwhelming numbers. Yet at the same time according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy "teenagers are becoming vital players in the non-profit world by starting their own charities, sitting on grant making boards, raising money, volunteering, and leading efforts to solve problems in their neighborhoods, schools and beyond."

What then, is the disconnect?

LIA through its vast global network believes it can not only help decipher an answer but bring the world closer to engaging a generation to participate in the political process, become informed, and ultimately become involved in civic life.

The London International Awards is a global leader in acknowledging creative excellence for Advertising, Design, and Interactive Media. We strive to build relationships that cultivate win-win support for the advertising and creative communities while embracing a commitment to corporate social responsibility.
