Better run!

On 11-Apr-2010, IISc Alumni Cell is organising ‘Science & Technology Run’ or better known as ‘SnT Run.’ I got a chance to do the branding work. It includes:
1. Logo Design
2. Poster Design for publicity
3. Banner design for the event

nice work. I would have liked to make a runner in a clean poster out of a complex set of scientific tools like test tubes, cogwheels, wrenches, cables, thermometers, beakers etc.

love your ideas and main visuals, but why do u clutter it up after that? don't like that bit of it. the cluttered copy in impact font etc

So this year, I wanted to avoid the obvious.

@Anjana Kamat: I think I am addicted to 'Impact.' I use it more often. Now I realize that the works are cluttered. Thanks, will definitely keep this in my mind.

@Anjana Kamat: Thanks for the compliment; but the photos were taken by my friends Urvesh, Tojo and Ashveen.

I was in charge of photography department of SnT Run 2010 but I left the work to these professionals. Because, I have an OLYMPUS SP500UZ 2006 Model 'SLR Like' digital camera (INR 25000/- at the time) and I am an 'AUTO' man -- means, I take photos only in Auto mode. But my friends have SLR cameras and equipments of Cannon and Nikon (INR 75000/- and more) and they have never heard of Auto mode. They worry about ISO settings, color temperature matching, image stabilization... No wonder, there photos are great!

@Saumya: The first SnT Run happened in December 2008. It also witnessed almost the same 1200+ runners. Following three photos are taken by me during this SnT Run 2008.

Yesterday's Times of India, DNA, Bangalore Mirror, The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle and Indian Express had news and photos about this event. More than 160 institutions (Companies like LG, Analog Devices, Schools, Colleges, Clubs...) took part in yesterday's event. I saw a TV9 cameraman and an anchor during the event in IISc premises. If I get hold of any video, will send you the link.
