My New Illustrations
I have been making some illustrations. I think the style is neat. Anyone care to hire me for a campaign

hi kikikikikikiki,
good stuff. do u make story boards? we make lot of story boards here and they charge a fortune for each frame. Let me know what is your rate and we can start doing business.
Generally the western europe uses Hungarians who charge like 17 USD for one b/w frame of a story board. So if you have 10 frames you can make 170 USD a story board. Is it less, too much for India?

hi dalbir
i don't think i'll be able to make storyboards coz i use a software to draw things with this illustration style. it's more suited for geometrical (not always though) objects and drawing people in the same style would be next to impossible. but if there were storyboards or campaigns which involved only buildings, cars, objects, tables, cars, etc (basically everything other than people) i sure could do it.
and hi dillikatau
there was a typo in my previous reply. i am not based out of mumbai but i am based in mumbai

Cool stuff kikikiki...I'm a big illustration fan, don't know why we use so little of it in our advertising. Is it because of lack of talent, or we don't back talented illustrators with enough money, unlike our photographers?
I'm a copywriter and often come up with ideas that require funky illustration styles. Somehow I'm always disappointed with what the art director and illustrator come up with. It's not bad work, it's just that the styles don't seem to push the idea hard enough.

its so easy to blame the poor overworked art director. lets see some of your creative 'copy' based ideas. lets see how excitng the are? hell, lets see an exciting long copy/only copy ad from you.I'm a copywriter and often come up with ideas that require funky illustration styles. art director are always overworked and under resourced. who will pay USD 6000 for a decent illustration style? will you sit down on photoshop and scan those blackbook images and make photoshop cutouts? once upon a time studio artists used to do that. now with the business going down the gutter even that help has been taken away. who will pay for a speacial font to be developed?
somewhere on this forum i found this:
Can you do this? iF you thought your ideas were so exciting, maybe you should have managed what this copywriter achieved? The only entry to have won 4 One Shows and 2 D&ADs this year is the entry done by a COPYWRITER. (yes, and it has one in Graphic Design)
Get your facts right.
And noone is taking the credit away from this writer.
