I like these...some of these anyway...like the art to a certain extent too. But somehow they don't cause an impact. A wannabe Economist is how I see this....wot say guys?

i like the art. but being a lazy m"""""""F;;;;;;; i did not read all the copy just the headlines. then i just read the copy as well, but hey they are just the same. that doesn't work for me.

Imagine the Economist headline - "Lose the ability to slip out of meetings unnoticed." - in this layout. Or the age-less "I never read the Economist - management trainee, age 42" in the ET look.

Or the headlines of the ET campaign in white type against a bright red rectangle.

Nice lines for ET guys. But it's the Economist campaign thru and thru. The art is intelligent, but a weak camouflage.

Anyways, if you really are new to the slaughterhouse - that wasn't bodycopy. Just a clever use of the headline as a part of the art.

I would havew lliked it better if the grey text read on as opposed to being repeated. That kind of reduces the ad's iq a bit.
