‘Doodle Social Ad Festival 2014’ from Feb 22

In order to create a platform for students and professional artists, who possess tremendous potential of presenting various social ills and incidents creatively through Print Ads and Ad Films, ‘Manthan Art School’ has organised the Doodle Ad Festival 2014.The long-awaited festival was inaugurated by ad guru Mr. Kv Shridhar (who is popularly known as ‘Pops’). Well known Marathi author, play writer, film writer & director
Ratnakar Matkari and Underdog communications Co-founder Mr. Vikram Gaikawad were the chief guests.

The festival will be held from Feb 22 to March 2 at the Art Gallery Hall of Ravindra Natya Mandir’s P. L. Deshpande Academy. Various programmes will be part of this nine-day long festival.The festival aims at social awareness on burning topics such as corruption, child labour, crimes against women and inflation in a creative way. About 490 print ads & ad film makers will be participating in the county’s first of its kind social ad festival. The effort has received huge response from across the World right from Mumbai, Pune and entire Maharashtra, to other states such as Delhi, Punjab, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kerala, Vishakhapatnam, England and Philippines. This has brought a kind of glamour to this programme.The festival will have an exhibition of best ads, selected by stalwarts in the field. The exhibition will be open to all. The paintings exhibited here will give a social message on common man’s problems on effective way. Winners will be given cash prizes as well as gold, silver and bronze medals. Budding and professional artists will get an opportunity to attend workshops and lectures on ‘Corporate Identity’, ‘Is Your Experience Design The Next Big Thing’, ‘Creative Copy Writing’, ‘Creativity In Advertising’, by expert like Rajesh Kulkarni, Saurabh Chandekar, Rayomand Patell, Saurabh
Karandikar. The prize distribution will be held on March 2 at the hands of Kv Shridhar, Ad Guru Gopi Kukde, and Vice President, Pinstorm Sanjay Khare.
