redpaw, i'm with you. i don't like the execution. where's the aesthetics? what is being called photography here, i would call photoshopping. paramvir, what is lensing? where has cartier bresson gone?
Re: Wrangler's We are Animals
This is one of the most pretentious campaigns of recent times. A fitting sequel to the Cannes winning 'we are animals' campaign.
Re: Wrangler's We are Animals
i guess its a very raw look at humans, placing them is natural raw surroundings like animals. maybe in the age of social media they are saying MAN IS A SOCIAL ANIMAL (bad one).
but here are some spots to enjoy:
(I think the campaign was broken with this 'Stop Thinking, We Are Animals' which is a slightly evolved way of saying (dont think) Just Do It.
(this one kind of gives sloid base to the thought)

Re: Wrangler's We are Animals
right, Vikas. Take a look at this guys,
"Why do we live, when we know we will die', a beautiful, soulful, philosophical campaign, beautifully shot.
as for the lensing and photoshopping: As a cinematographer, photographer, I can tell you one thing: you can achieve this on camera, with zero photoshop, of course you have to be good at your job to be able to do that. There is no airbrushing, edge gradients, not much to speak of. This campaign works for me.

Paramvir, now when are are saying this..its totally different from what the current ad. The current ad "we are animals" talks in a totally different context then the one that you have mentioned.Paramvir wrote: "Why do we live, when we know we will die', a beautiful, soulful, philosophical campaign, beautifully shot.

While the "we are animals" thoughts talks about breaking the human barrier and be more wild in life, 'Why do we live, when we know we will die' talks about human's will to do something more with there life and a belief in existentialism.
Different idea's..different ads..
Re: Wrangler's We are Animals
its an evolution of a campaign thought, redpaw. i don't know the chronology, but you ca see a definite evolution. Don't assume the campaigns ran together. One has to prime the audience to a campaign's idea. Remember how many different executions of Nike's iconic 'Just Do It' exist. or for that matter Volvo's thought of 'Safety' or Adidas' 'Impossible is Nothing'.
