Based in Delhi, got into photography without any formal training,
however learnt art of capturing frames while assisting.
Follow simplistic approach & try to develop own distinct style.
Has a knack for portraits & enjoy story based projects

Why are you a photographer?
I think it completes me as a person.

Do you remember any decisive moment when you felt ‘I want to be a photographer’?
Photography started way back in childhood , when use to eagerly wait for a one more chance to get hand on Father’s camera. In college it became more than a hobby with my first SLR but decided to take it as a career only after leaving my father’s business

Were there any particular role models for you when you grew up?
Not really just wanted to keep improving & doing good work.

Who was the most influential personality on your career in photography?
Steve Mccury, Reza Deghati, Raghu Rai, Prabudho Das Gupta, Bharat Sikka, Tarun Khiwal, Tarun Vishwa to name few.

How has photography changed over the course of the last couple of decades? Is execution/art direction more important than it used to be?
If you speak about shift from film to digital, i think it is just a shift of medium.
Both the methods have it s own technicalities and exceptional output.

What do you think of the current state of Print Advertising photography in India? Is it at par with the work done worldwide?
Not a right guy to comment but i think there’s good work happening around.

Where do you get your inspiration?
Whatever I see but movies & music videos definitely have more impact.

Was there any time when you wanted to quit photography?
No

Whats your dream project?
Book on portraits .

Who would you want to spend a dinner with?
Family & Friends

Lot of variations – Nusrat , jack johnson, Bryan adams, lucky ali, Cranberries are some of it.

    Love the work. Why do you say you are influenced more by film/video, when there is so miuch exciting stills happening in photography?

    Thanks Mukesh for appreciation, i do agree there’s good work happening in still photography, and i also said i get inspired by whatever i see.
    But i don’t want to follow any particular photographer,
    as i like to evolve in my own distinct style.
