The digital marketing definitely is on the steep raise due to the fact that it reaches larger audience across the globe or target location in no time. Also, it is cost effective when compared with direct marketing.

The term digital marketing is augmenting now, rather than the regular online advertising. Campaigns with Augmented Reality or AR Advertising allows your audience to access virtual walk through videos, 3D demos, live information about the product and book online by interacting with prints and brochures through their smartphones and AR allows a detailed analysis therefore enabling them to thoroughly understand their audience.

If Digital-Online advertising is such the "holy grail," as this article tries to indicate, than why did Kraft Foods recently announce in an ADAGE article that they have rejected 75% to 85% of Digital Ad Impressions Due to Quality Concerns?
1) What even is digital advertising these days? If a TV ad is viewed in a live TV show on a tablet it's "TV", yet if if Video pre-roll from YouTube is view on a TV, it's Digital. The notion of drawing a line in this way is of no interest to anyone, why are we talking about it.
2) Are these not the laziest most convenient trend lines ever? Just arbitrary straight lines. By this measure I predict Mobile ads will be worth more than the entire global economy by 2030 and Alex from Target will have 1 trillion followers in 2 years.
3) How do we let such lazy thinking be considered wisdom. We should be embarrassed for the authors.

1) What is digital? : Satellite and Set TOP Box TV is not. And youth are NOT watching conventional TV and it's shows as much anymore.
2) When Alex from Target will have 1 trillion followers, more brand swill want him to tweet goodness about those brands and he will benefit financially.
