That is sad part that cream of cream is not considering advertising as career. In 80s it was the most glamouros industry, considering today's scene it doen't attract much youngsters. They talk about passion and all but at the end people look at you pocket. How much you made.

I think W+k is one agency that'll become big. Their Indigo ad was nice, even the 70s Ebay ones i liked. Their office is a work of art man. Padi and TaprootIndia are decent. Love their art work.

you are right. really love what W+K is doing. They are genuinely interested in pushing the envelope, whereas others just want to retain their jobs.

I know E. But you know what advertising is right? Making people think in a certain way, so we're in a very materialistic business pattern, no matter the creativity.

what do you mean by that statement. of course its a shallow materialistic pursuit, its a dirty business, but someones got to do it. and the shallowness of the business is so huge that we glamorize our jobs to make us feel better.

Now i will not reveal the name of the agency, it might scare you all. I have an consultancy with a corporate in Mumbai. An well known agency, which boast about themselves taken up composing "dealer panel" job for all ads at an throw away costs. I was shocked at the desparation. After it was all about money.

Is it a herculean task? I had done my intern in Ogilvy and that left me many sour experiences and few, very few unforgettable trivial experiences. But still, I want to get back to some big agency, want to take the heat, get the mould and break the mould

By the way, what's the frequency to tune up to big agencies?

one agency doesnt make your experience of the industry. You should try every agency out there. I for myself rejected two offers from Ogilvy because I felt they were underpaying.
