I actually think it wont happen anytime soon, India being very fragmented in terms of audiences. Atleast not until lousy soaps and "indianised" shows enjoy the viewership they are getting. Not many clients have the balls to release the original stuff that we do.

But yes, I hope it happens someday. All this talk about audiences not being mature enough...I don't think they ever will unless they're exposed to higher levels of creativity.

@ desipimp: Any clue if the chinese ad industry hires international guys? And have you heard anything about 'outsourcing advertising' out there? Many blogs are talking about it. Don't know how feasible it is.

There's a new story today that some $1.5 billion will be pumped into Indian radio stations over the next 24 months. 80,000 professionals needed and stuff about big growth. Here's the full story: http://www.agencyfaqs.com/news/stories/ ... 16425.html

P.S: It's suerly is an exciting time to be an Indian creative.

gianfrog,

chinese advertising has a decent number of international people. in fact the head of ogilvy shanghai is an indian woman who moved from ogilvy bombay few months back. so if you have the right experinece you have chance.

you should talk to Alicia Tay at taya@aquent.com or adeline tan at atan@aquent.com for jobs in that region.
