Institute of Science and Religion (ISR), Navi Mumbai is pleased to announce its first National conference SSTech2012 in association with University of Mumbai, Department of Philosophy on the topic, ‘Science and Spirituality in the Age of Technology’ on 5th and 6th of October 2012 at University campus, Mumbai. This conference is one such humble effort in this area, after successfully organizing two regional seminars and several short seminars, outreaches and workshops in campuses, within a short span of five years.
The proposed conference is a tribute to Dr. T.D. Singh, Founder of ISR, commemorating his 75th birth anniversary. He was a scientist(PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine-1974), a saint, a philosopher, an educationist, a writer, a singer, a poet, an instrumentalist and a cultural & peace ambassador. Befitting his stature, this conference will facilitate to bring together great thinkers and philosophers in the field of science, technology, education, research, healthcare, spirituality and human values.
Further, keeping up the spirit of education imparted by ISR and Dept. of Philosophy, the upcoming academic conference will be aimed at creating a benchmark for inclusive knowledge dissemination; encompassing science, technology and spirituality concurring with developing holistic human capabilities.
