JWT India has announced the elevation of Swati Bhattacharya, Tista Sen and Senthil Kumar to national creative directors for respective regions. While Bhattacharya will lead Delhi, Sen will head Mumbai and Kumar will continue to look after the South market, along with additional responsibility of the Kolkata office.

Confirming the developments, Colvyn Harris, chief executive officer, JWT India, said, “Swati, Tista and Senthil have been elevated from their positions as executive creative directors to their new roles.”

In an internal mail, Harris said, “Given the exigencies of the market and the pressure which is being brought to bear on us to improve our creative work - especially from clients who are in the more competitive categories – we believe that the combined skills and talents of Swati, Tista and Senthil will be able to provide the best solutions for our clients, our brands, and our people.”

In a bid to strengthen the creative leadership at the agency, JWT India had recently announced the appointment of Bobby Pawar as chief creative officer and managing partner, who is expected to take charge after a couple of months. “In the coming months, after Bobby comes on board, they will be part of the core team of creative resources at JWT India,” Harris added.

Bhattacharya is credited with several campaigns on Maggi, Sunrise coffee, ITC, Unilever, Pepsi and Pizza Hut among others in her 20 years with JWT Delhi. Sen, who joined JWT in 2001, has campaigns like Sunsilkgangofgirls.com, Aditya Birla Financial and the Lux Abhi-Ash commercial to her credit, and is also credited with contribution of making the Mumbai office the most creative agency in the JWT network in Asia.
