Indian Pop Art today has evolved to find its own foothold in the global scene. I personally love the inheritant richness that desi pop art derives from Indian art. Maybe thats why it has so many takers! From rickshaw rears to truck signs to signboards to anything thats just desi and pop, theres no dearth of awesomeness on the streets of India! So go ahead and put up anything you find on the way!

Gods and deities are a recurrent theme in desi pop art all over. Its amazing how each picture is rich enough to convey the entire odyssey of a deity! This is pop art paying it forward by passing the culture and the mythologies on. To my mind, communication at its desi & creative best :D!

@ Saumya
Thank you Saumya :-) I checkd out the flickr link you put up. Its true thers a lot of it around but i still see so much novelty around apart from the fact that its just So interesting to realize the reasons why some of the art is so popular, like the first post! Like i love all of the references that kikikikiki uses for Font Fridays which are predominantly from the streets!

@ Priyanka
There Are a lot of these around, but i specifically find amusement in the ones that offer insight or ones that have an idea behind them :-)!
