thanks for the link krish. the magazine is amazing. i wonder if this will sell. my problem is that even though it looks great, it could be something like x-men from marvel comics. same illustration and comic style. too heavy of dialouges, stylized no doubt but it doesn't look remotely desi. but then again we do not have great comic art culture in this country, so i guess this will be a good start.

i still love those amar chitra kathas....they should remake these ones....instead of coming up with imaginary heros.

This is a cool desi comic blog. they have our own desi hero BAHADUR. You can also download some old desi comics. this is probably the most original desi strip with desi locations, desi police, CID etc.

I grew up watching my mom read Manohar Kahnian. My sis would read Pinki and then our favorite Vikram Betal. I even loved those Vikram Betal TV serials.

good idea param. actually looking at these comics, if i had the money i would take a copyright for them and start selling them in japan. they love all these kitch style work.

Pran rocks. He's been doing this much before Disney channel hit india. I think someone should make them into real animation, specially Chacha Chaudhury.

anyone here got Naagrajan Comics? I once ad read them as a child and they hve left a deep impression on me...cant find them anymore
