What's a Creative Controller?

I have seen agencies like Ogilvy offer the post of a Creative Controller.
Does anyone know what's the role of a Creative Controller? Where does he/she feature in the designation ladder? What is the experience required for this post? How much does one get paid in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata?

Creative Controller is just like Creative Group Head. Functions and roles remain the same. So salaries should be similar to a Creative Group Head.
