In Calcutta they had beautiful british raj era statues which the communist party removed after taking over. But I think if we look at them positively they are still part of our cultural heritage. Victoria memorial is as beautiful like any famous european palace. Never seen any bengal tourism advertising where they have so much to offer. Remember in the good old days Kolkatta was called the city of palaces.

nice one...we generally have statues of national heros...i think art is still developing in our country.
