Its a good place. No great creative happening here though. Unlike Dubai. Bahrain is a small kingdom with a nascent advertising market. What did you think.

Don't know about Bahrain but there's some decent small agencies coming out of Dubai especially the ones working on the new Property Development projects. I've done some interactive work with some of these guys. Here were some I had checked out:
