Truth, i disagree with you. I think a National CD can not be held liable for the work of so many of his people. In this case I think both the ideas are good in their own and relevant to the respective country.

And then everyone is doing PSA, for heaven's sake there is PSA category in all the major awards.

That's not what TH is pointing. First is the client legit (does it exist)? Second as a National CD, he should make sure that the work should be for credible clients.

I think Grey's work came first and then it was highly publicized. I think you are wrong to point finger at Pratap as it is not possible for an NCD to be aware of all the work leaving the agency. And the client being not in directory or the net, come on man, is this saving the CAT NGO on the web?

I think the idea is so so, it should not have won a Bronze. Have seen so many ideas like these. SO I do not think anyone copied the other, it is just so bloody obvious.

grey india was hot during the time of alok nanda, swapan and juju. alas it is all gone. do not know what extra pratap has given to grey. tho i hear he was a hot creative during his earlier days. perhaps he needs better creatives.

yup,

i remember those great campaign they did for Dunlop some 10 years back (extra wide) and for Bausch contact lens. I think the ads then were far better then what we do now. Unfortunately we were not award savvy or these ads would have won bigger. Now it is very rare to see great work like that coz a CD and his team can build career on scam ads. That sucks.

ANimals have a better life in NY then people in India. :)

sorry, i have to rephrase that. Please ignore the first post.

They care about animals more then humans in NY.

This is quite true as they spend fortune on animals and their shelters while humans have no place to sleep.

Which is why we see less of save CATs (i find this funny) ads in India. We still CARE about people and i am proud of it. This ad could easily have been for street cats but the agency picked Humans. So hats off to them.

And what it did acheive for the street kids? A bronze!

Imagine the creative guy looking out for a starving kid. Giving him a chocolate and getting him photographed. Just to enter awards.
