Tarsem Singh, the much awarded LA/London based desi director (he made Nike's good vs evil, Pepsi's 'We will rock you' with Britnsey spears and Pink etc etc) and our own beloved Piyush ji are featured in the new shots's 100 greatest creatives.

I think Prsoon Joshi should have been there as well, considering they have japnese creatives who we have never heard before.

I checked the shots. They have all these directors and creatives that are only famous in the west. In that case we should have R. Balki, maybe even Karan Johar. Why not?

Why not Prasoon Pandey?

Why do they Joe Patyka and not Priyadarshan?

Maybe we should have own list of 100 great desi creatives?

nice to see tarsem there... shot w/ him quite a few times & attended the same school. unfortunate though, that he has yet to really hit it big in features like fellow allums: zach snider and michael bay...

i'll have to check out some of the directors mentioned though...

non-disclosure agreement w/ agencies... other client direct gigs not an issue as i work consulting w/ a planner, we help sell through the strategy & work... only bummer is that most cannot afford to keep me on to execute the creative so you can guess what happens.

i can imagine. happens a lot in india too. some big famous creative teams work on business pitches and all, dont knwo if someone works ona real account, except for Nokia. But i guess most often its because teh agency is unable to deliver because they have creatively hit a brick wall.
