loving the weather in mumbai. the typical holi weather. or as we would say in bengal, dol. with promises of days getting hotter. ok i'm weird. i like the heat. i love it. i love the thought of a grand perspiration if there's the promise of a cold bath at the end of it. i would wither in alaska. i would thrive in africa. have to go to africa. couldn't last year coz my daughter was on her way to be born. have to soon. or maybe will wait till she can appreciate the place too. ok now for a cold bath. (i have the least use for twitter. yet why do i love it?)

summer is generally so under rated.I lobve summers too and thats not because of where I live. In India the landscape takes a different hue. Thanks to the deciduous vegetation. It can be beautiful. The weather these days is also spring (though typically in India it ends around Holi, in the north at least. Love the weather. Hate what we are doing to it.

yes. the weather has a SMELL to it doesn't it. and i don't mean a physical smell. smell is such a powerful thing. how some whiffs suddenly take one back to long lost childhood memories. how some whiffs remind u of a particular day in college (and that smell might not even have been there then). remind u of your first fling. remind u of a city. remind u of a favourite jacket which u didn't even know existed in your memories. remind u of a fever. remind u of a hairstyle. of a phonecall. of a post-exam holiday. of a moon. i could go on.

or the smell of juniper leaves on warm morning sun!
