coffee and muffins :P

Here's a list of the top 10 viral campaigns of all time (of course till the time this post was made, according to Times Online)

Nike

Creative from Framfab, Denmark.
Framfab won two Gold Lions on the Cannes Lions Festival for the campaign. The other winning clip was The Chain, a user generated initiative, consisting of more than 500 user uploaded soccer sequences edited together as one long clip of soccer celebration.

Agent Provacateur

Kylie Minogue rides a velvet bucking bronco wearing nothing but lingerie from Agent Provocateur. (you need to be over 18 years of age to watch this! Yipee!)

JOHN WEST SALMON

A John West employee fights a grizzly bear off to land a fish – just to go that extra mile for quality. Obviously, it is set up, but with costumes from the Jim Henson Creature Shop it looks surprisingly real, until the bear starts throwing Kung Fu tricks at the “fisherman”.

An unusual viral, it created more than 300 million views and has won ten awards, including Best Commercial of the Year from British Television Advertising Awards and a Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions Festival, 2001. Executed by Leo Burnett, the viral brings together the best of advertising and content in one.

I was going through the work of Eric Leleu, Shanghai based photographer. Here is a series of Panoramas he has shot :
Shanghai World expo 2010 - the site from scratch (shot in September 2008)
Panoramic print produced for the office of the director of the Cofres company, which is the company building and managing the French Pavilion.

AND a series on French Entrepreneurs in Shanghai
French entrepreneurs in Shanghai (February 2009)
Series of portraits about 8 French entrepreneurs in Shanghai. Flowers, wines, parties, clothes, luxury: French ?
The idea of the photos was to show their hyper-activity hence I used the photoshop trick to duplicate people several times in the same image. As in my "BJ08" series (below), I wanted some energy in the composition, some humanity in the relation with people and some harmony in the colors... All shots with my new 'nomad studio' composed of 3/4 small Canon strobes (speedlight). Thanks to PS, up to 8 lights used in one image... 1 week work.

i think one of the biggest, best brand promotions is Vodafone Tuesdays. Its simply awesome (even though I thought the calendar ad did nothing to convey the thought : On Vodafone Tuesdays, Buy One Get One Free, instead it says Tuesdays are the new Sundays).

What I like is the fact that if I am a Vodafone customer, I get a movie ticke free for every one that I buy. I get a free coffee for evry one I buy. I get a free meal for every one that I buy. Its awesome. I wish more brands would do these kind of promos. I know for a fact how many people wait for a tuesday to watch a movie (considering the price of multiplex tickets, anyway, I download my movies off torrents, its easier, cheaper and more democratic. I dont have to depend on the mass produced nonsense shit prodiced by 'bollywood', friday after friday, month after month, year after year, decade after decade).

But heres to Vodafone Tuesdays : Hip Hip Hurray!

wow! today is a tuesday and we get to watch movies at 50% of the price!

I also learnt how to make my car smell better. I kept a mug of hot black coffee from Costa Coffee overnight in the car. Next morning there is this wonderful aroma of coffee in the car! Sweet!

thanks missmallu

check this one out:
Spanish born designer Cristian Zuzunaga has zoomed in on colour, literally, to create a fresh perspective on print design. The Royal College of Art graduate works with pixel concepts, applying designs to fabrics used in furniture upholstery. Inspired by architecture and the urban environment, Zuzunaga combined his graphic design skills and knowledge of printing techniques to devise his signature style based on squares and rectangles. He first burst onto the design scene with his pixel sofa, which was produced by Danish manufacturer, Kvadrat and sold through Moroso. He has now added more pixel-inspired designs to his portfolio including chairs and artworks.

Artist Andy Gilmore designed the exteriors of these Virgin Atlantic Aircraft, giving premium customers a reason to select one airlines over another...
(cant say if these aircraft actually exist)
