for great Bengali Food in Mumbai

* Oh Calcutta!
Andheri (in Lokhandwala) and Tardeo (part of Mumbai known as 'town'). Extremely sweet place, expensive though. There is a membership scheme where you may avail of a 10% discount every time you eat at one of these joints. Incidentally, the chain is owned by someone who started in the advertising business : He runs an agency called Situations.

* Calcutta Club
Oshiwara. Nice food, reasonable price, but the management can be rude.

* Hangla's
There's one in Andheri, Lokhandwala, and another at Malad West, a little ahead of Inorbitz Mall, to your left as you go towards Borivili. Hangla's is more like bengali street junk food, where you dont reallyhave a restaurant just a counter. You buy and eat on the street or in your car or take home.

generally difficult to find Momos in Mumbai, but you can try this place called Sernyaa (or something like that) near Infinity Mall, opposite 'Lotus' Petrol Pump in Andheri West. My friends swear by it! I swear by the momos at Chanakyapuri.
