I personally dint like it! people were expecting much more better than that! But I cant completely rule it out, donno how they are turn the logo appear (may b there is something to b revealed abt the logo) or going to use that logo as a basic one to present series of logos, each for 2G, 3G, internet Broadband...etc

May be Airtel should do some magic through OOH and that could easily impress people!

I love the New Airtel logo. Much much better than the previous box. It looks better in 3D form than a flat one though. The graphic of 'a' has potential in terms of usage in films/animation etc. I think it grows on you.

i tend to agree with the general point of view. i think the logo font is very weak. and yes, the symbol is very similar to videocon. Vodafone? No I dont think so.

skarle, you are only thinking of TV and 3D. what about print? what about outdoor? what about the packaging? millions of people still see logos on newspapers, magazines, billboards and packaging. what do you have to say to that?

rebranding of big names are generally met with criticism. It's like that uncle who gets a hair transplant, everybody thinks he looks funny, but from his point-of-view it works. The people who know him, will eventually get used to him. The people who don't know him (women mostly), have nothing to compare to and like the full hair look. Same with rebranding. Existing customers are not gonna switch over just cuz they don't like the logo. It may help attract new customers worldwide though.

you are talking philosophically.

we are creative people. we have a creative opinion and will express it. if we think something is not interesting, creatively, we will crib.

i am surprised. no one seems to like the new logo! I wonder what Airtel thinks of it? of course, having spent millions on it, they will be keen to defend it.
