Not quite commercials, these are films that Benq-Siemens made for their mobile phone, trying to encourage episodic fiction on their mobile phones supporting 3GPP:
Mr.Q takes eager Ben for a walk to the park. Whilst speaking on the phone Mr. Q commits a mistake that will cost him a lot of sweat.
Directors Comment by Andreas Hafele:
The most difficult element in the first episode was probably shooting the park scene. All the flowers in the frame were painstakingly planted by the art department, in order to introduce a stark contrast against the brutal architecture, which was fairly time-consuming. Waiting for a train to pass as background interest behind the protagonist also pressurised the schedule. The bus I chose was a beautifully restored Routemaster from the London Transport Museum, as they are not in service anymore, and it was fantastic to see it on the roads of London once again. It took some time to find our bizarre housing estate in London, but once we found this little gem we were facing another problem. The original idea was to open and end the film with a graphic nodal top-shot, but overhead power lines prevented us from using a crane. We opted to shoot it from a frontal position instead, which provided a similarly powerful composition.
