looking for a job in advertising agency kolkata

I'm a post graduate in advertising & public relations and in search of a job in a good ad agency in kolkata. Kindly help me out as I'm not much aware of the medium level agencies.I need an entry level job either in copywriting or client servicing.I'm a complete fresher.Anybody who has idea about the good agencies in kolkata do help me.

What department do you want to work in? Client Servicing & Account Management? Creative (Copy/Art?)?, Media?

Depending on where you want to work, Kolkata has the following options for you (not necessarily in any order):

Bates
JWT
Ogilvy
Rediffusion
Law & Kenneth
Lintas
Response

The best thing to do is start calling people and meeting them. But before that, you must make up your mind : which department.

if its creative, you must prepare a portfolio that you can share.

Thanx for replying.I'm interested in the client servicing department but the whole issue is neither the medium level nor the big agencies are interested in freshers.I want to start my career in a medium level good ad agency in kolkata but not much info is available on net regarding medium level agencies. Since I'm new to this place I hardly have contacts or info.

I think the big agencies should be open to hiring freshers. Where have you tried?
