How to open Corel Draw files in Illustrator

A lot of low end 'pre press' houses use Corel Draw in India. So I keep getting CDR files and I work only with Adobe Illustrator (alas, Freehand is no more). Does anyone know how to open .cdr files in Illustrator?

Hi Saumya,

a) You can change the extension to .eps but it will not work everytime.

b) Use Inkscape, but it will require a plugin known as uniconvertor, this will do your work. ( Tried and Successful )
