Opening scene of your advertising career!

Post by JCSaiKrishna »

This thread is about the opening scene of your advertising career, hope you guys find this interesting and sensible.

After a long time I found some time just for myself and that lead to a question popping out of my thoughts: "how did you get into advertising?? when was the first time you realised you can be an adman?". That took me all the way to the year 2005 :), and here comes the rest...

@basantkumar: Why so serious?

@JC: Dude I admire your thoughts and the earnest effort you put into your work. It all shows. Now..im not much yet, just a college student. But that said, I feel you need to be more articulate ..or clear with your words and core ideas lest you send out the wrong message!

Like this poster you've made. Its endorsing You.
But it seems like you're saying: "Fighting With Your Parents Is Cool"
whereas
What you actually want to say is "Taking A Stand And Making Stuff Happen For Yourself Is Cool"

I really liked S for success ...the whole funda of physically engineering the 'S' for Success...since its an engineering academy. Simple and nice.

Hey, yeah the headline says that fighting with parents is cool, but when the reader reads the rest I hope he/she should be able to understand its not about fighting. isnt it? I wanted that to be headline because its true, as simple as that :). looks like you are suggesting me to articulate that truth well in words, right?

I will give it a try, btw I dint mean to make this a creative work, I wanted to share the opening scene of my advertising career with my advertising freaks and so I just drafted it and posted it here, I dint want to claim or relate my creativeness to this, somehow this turned to a discussion about the crafting of article and not the content.

I dint ask anyone to judge on the creativity of this, because its not a creative work, its just a story I wanted to share with you people; also wanted to know the stories of people like Truth Hurts, Ek Kanya, Saumya,...

By the way, thank you for such a big reply, dude :)

not really. sucking up is.

revolting is ghoing against the grain. whats the grain? celebrities.
We have every ad on TV filled with celebs like cricketers and bollywood stars.

Reviolting is saying, to hell with celebs. I will create a great idea. I will work with hockey players instead of cricketers. I will take underdogs and make them heroes.

not true. whats happening in Indian advertising is piggy back riding on waves. we are surfers. we see a large wave and try to ride it. bollywood. cricket. sholay dialogues are still used in numerous ads and radio spots. you name it.

Indian advertising is NOT revolting against conformity. Its embracing it.
