the funny thing is not many people are aware that Porsche was made as a kind of spinoff from Volkswagen. Its interesting, Where VW was meant to be the people's car, porsche was the premium performance car, more for pleasure of performance than the necessity to commute. Excellent positioning in those days.
Today's markets are more complex so Porsche had to introduce Cayenne and Panamera, to give the pleasure of commute as well. And I think Cayenne has added tremendously to Porsche's revenues.
