Upasana Makati, Founder of India’s First English Lifestyle Magazine in Braille, White Print received the First Lady Award by the Ministry of Women and Child Development at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Upasana founded the magazine in 2013 and launched Braille tactile alphabet books titled Tactabet both in Hindi and English.

Honourable President Ram Nath Kovind feted 112 women from various fields across the country. Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Union Minister, Women and Child Development, Government of India released a coffee table book featuring the #FirstLadies.

About the Founder - Upasana Makati is the Founder & Publisher of White Print - India's first English lifestyle magazine in Braille for the visually impaired. After realizing the absolute absence of reading literature for the visually impaired in India she started White Print in 2013. Printed at the National Association for the Blind, Mumbai the magazine is circulated across the country. Upasana made it to the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list in 2016, Smart CEO, Top 50 start ups in India, received the Loreal Femina Woman's Award for Science and Innovation and was a part of the Womenpreneurs and India Innovation Showcase at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017.
