Sun Microsystems? Oh come on! It's a fantastic logo - a cylindrical (or was it rotational?) ambigram. It's Sun anyway you look at it.
To my eye, the HP logo is perfect for the company - a no fuss, simple maker of PCs. But you are welcome to debate that.
